SELESORB®, antibody adsorption column for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) treatment

SELESORB® is designed to remove anti-DNA antibody, anti-cardiolipin antibody and/or immune complex from patients with SLE. The SELESORB® adsorption mechanism bases on chemoadsorption by dextran sulphate on cellulose beads.

The double-column SELESORB® plasmapheresis system can be regenerated for the repetitive use during a treatment. The approach provides theoretically non-exhaustible adsorption capacity.
The SELESORB® treatment requires the use of a MA-03 machine as operating device.
The extracorporeal circuit for apheresis using SELESORB® is schematically demonstrated in Figure 1.
