SensiLase PAD-IQ® - an easy to perfom non-invasive diagnostic test device, clinically proven to diagnose more accurately patients' peripheral arterial condition.
The SensiLase PAD-IQ® System supports three complimentary peripheral vascular tests into a single, easy-to-use device:
- Skin Perfusion Pressure (SPP) for microcirculatory assessment,
- Pulse Volume Recording (PVR) for macrocirculatory assessment,
- Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) for macrocirculatory assessment.
The SPP test provides a fully automated evaluation of microcirculatory in the skin. The SPP test measures skin perfusion using a Laser Doppler sensor and a pressure cuff to provoke hyperemia and determine the capillary opening pressure of microvessels.
SPP is used to diagnose Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) or Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI), assess wound healing response and measure endovascular therapy effectiveness with pre/post intervention perfusion.
Patients with diabetes mellitus exhibiting PAD need special care. Diabetes mellitus can cause diseases of blood vessels, especially deterioration of tiny capillaries and arteries which become hardened in a different way. This condition makes other tests, which only assess larger vessels, much less reliable in diagnosing PAD.
